Mount Polley Mining Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Imperial Metals Corporation. Mount Polley Mining Corporation operates the Mount Polley mine -- a 20,000ptd open pit copper/gold operation located 100 km northeast of Williams Lake, in central British Columbia.
Reporting to the Chief Electrician, this position is responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of all electrical apparatus in a 19,000 tonne per day modern copper/molybdenum mine. You must be able to perform in a team oriented environment of electrical and instrumentation peers.
The successful candidate must possess a journeyman's trade qualification and have a minimum of five years experience in an industrial environment with preference to individuals with experience in a mineral processing plant. Instrumentation, PLC and programming experience would be considered an asset. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
Huckleberry is a remote mine and its employees live in a camp environment on their days of work. The Electrician position works an 8x8 or 7x7 schedule (days on X days off). While at the mine site, all meals and accommodations are provided free of charge to employees. Transportation is provided from Houston.

Methods to be trained on include acid digestion with an AA finish on low grade pulps and a wide range of ABA analytical methods. The successful applicants primary focus will be on ABA testing which on a daily basis due to requirements of our current mining plan. The successful applicant will be work cross shift with the chief assayer.
The successful candidate will be working towards their BC Assayer's Certificate or a diploma in analytical chemistry or, a minimum of one year assay experience and computer experience with Microsoft Excel and Access. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

Mill Maintenance General Foreman/Planning Lead will direct our multi-disciplined team of maintenance personnel. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for planning jobs and supervising trades personnel in the maintenance and repair of a 19,000 tonne per day copper mineral processing plant. The job also encompasses repair and upkeep of a 250 person camp and mine site buildings and infrastructure. This position:
· Ensures all safety procedures and policies are followed when performing work
· Ensures the availability of all of the mill equipment for production
· Coordinates maintenance functions within the mill with mill and mine operations
· Maintains cost control
· Promotes a team atmosphere.
· Requires excellent time management and organizational skills
The successful candidate will possess a journeyman millwright trade qualification and have a minimum of five years supervisory experience directing maintenance crews. The candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this position is required to regularly liaise with other maintenance sections as well as operations. The candidate must have competent computer skills with experience with Microsoft Office, CMMS programs and Preventive Maintenance programs.
