The Porcher Island property hosts a gold bearing quartz vein system. Extensive exploration from 1975 to 1988 resulted in an estimated mining reserve of 623,095 tons grading (cut and diluted) 0.20 oz/t (6.9 g/t) gold over an average mining width of 11 feet (3.35 metres) [resource is historical in nature, compiled before NI43-101].

Imperial entered into an option agreement with Cross Lake Minerals in November 2005. Cross Lake may earn a 65% working interest by carrying out aggregate exploration and development expenditures of $2,000,000.

Cross Lake has since drilled 6 diamond drill holes totaling about 2,500 metres and has had success in extending the deposit to depth, discovering what appears to be a parallel vein system 100 metres north of the existing zone.

The 1,891 hectare property is located 35 km south-southwest of Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
