The Porcher Island property hosts a gold bearing quartz vein system. Extensive exploration from 1975 to 1988 resulted in an estimated mining reserve of 623,095 tons grading (cut and diluted) 0.20 oz/t (6.9 g/t) gold over an average mining width of 11 feet (3.35 metres) [resource is historical in nature, compiled before NI43-101].

Imperial entered into an option agreement with Cross Lake in 2005. Cross Lake has since earned a 65% interest in the Porcher Island property.

The property is located 35 kilometers south-southwest of Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
