Imperial Reports Red Chris Technical Report Filed

Vancouver — March 14, 2011 - Imperial Metals Corporation (III-TSX) reports it has filed on SEDAR today, a National Instrument 43-101 compliant “2011 Technical Report on the Red Chris Copper—Gold Project” (the “2011 Report”). The 2011 Report updates all exploration activities and mining plans of the Red Chris project to December 31, 2010, and was prepared by Greg Gillstrom, Senior Geological Engineer, Raj Anand, Manager Project Development, and Stephen Robertson, Exploration Manager. The 2011 Report will be available on www.sedar.com and www.imperialmetals.com.

The Red Chris project is located in northwest British Columbia, approximately 18 kilometres southeast of the Iskut village, 80 kilometres south of Dease Lake, and 12 kilometres east of the Stewart-Cassiar Highway (Highway 37).

The Company’s key properties are the Mount Polley open pit copper/gold producing mine in central British Columbia, the Huckleberry open pit copper/molybdenum producing mine in northern British Columbia, the development stage Red Chris copper/gold property in northwest British Columbia, and Sterling gold property in southwest Nevada.
